Defence ACSC Entry Pathways

AUSTRALIAN COMMAND AND STAFF COURSE  
ENROLLED AND NON-ENROLLED PATHWAY INFORMATION

 

Enrolled Pathway

Should a candidate achieve an IELTS-A score of 6.5 (no skills lower than 6) by 15 Sep 17 they will be eligible for  the 2018 Australian Command and Staff Course (ACSC) enrolled pathway and will be required to attend the following courses.

  • 45/17 Australian and Military Familiarisation (AMF) Course 30 Oct – 10 Nov 17 (DITC)
  • 01/17 ADC Preparation Course (ACSC) 13 Nov – 15 Dec 17 (DITC)
  • 2018 ACSC Jan – Dec 18 (ADC)

On successful completion of the ACSC enrolled pathway, graduates will be granted the military qualification “Passed Staff College (Joint)” and a Master’s Degree in Military Studies.

 

Non-enrolled Pathway

Should a candidate achieve an IELTS-A score of 6 (no skills lower than 5.5) by 30 Jun 17 they may be eligible for the 2018 ACSC non-enrolled pathway. Please note, admission to the non-enrolled pathway is not guaranteed and places are at the discretion of the Commander ADC. Entry into the non-enrolled pathway will only be granted for strong engagement reasons. Please note there are a maximum of six non-enrolled pathway positions allocated for ADC candidates (ACSC, DSSC) each year globally.  

Candidates who are approved for the non-enrolled pathway will be required to attend an additional language development course prior to the ADC Preparation Course. The courses are as follows.

  • 32/17AMF Course 07-18 Aug 17 (DITC)
  • 02/17 Advanced Australian English Language Course (ACSC/DSSC) 21 Aug – 10 Nov 17 (DITC)
  • 01/17 ADC Preparation Course (ACSC) 13 Nov – 15 Dec 17 (DITC)
  • 2018 ACSC Jan – Dec 18 (ADC)

On successful completion of the ACSC non-enrolled pathway, graduates will be granted the military qualification “Passed Staff College (Joint)”.
