Australian guitar legend, Tommy Emmanuel
back in Bangkok for one night only at Scala Theatre
The Australian Embassy in collaboration with Dotime proudly presents world renowned Australian guitarist, Tommy Emmanuel at Scala Theatre on Sunday 28 October.
This is Tommy Emmanuel's fourth visit to Bangkok since 2008, when he performed to a sold out audience at Aksra Theatre. In 2009 and 2010 Tommy was the headliner at the Bangkok Acoustic Guitar Celebration, an event which brought together international acoustic guitar performers from around the world.
“Australia has a wealth of musical talent. We are pleased that world-class Australian musician, Tommy Emmanuel, is again able to share his love of music with a Thai audience,” Ambassador James Wise said.
Two-time Grammy nominee Tommy Emmanuel is one of the world’s finest guitar players and Australia’s most respected musicians. In 2010, in recognition of his extraordinary achievements and service to the Australian music industry, the Australian Government bestowed on him the award of Member of the Order of Australia (AM).
The concert begins at 8.00 pm. There will be an opportunity to hear Thailand’s acoustic talent from 6.30pm to 7.30pm. Tickets range from 1000 to 2500 Baht and are available at Thai Ticket Major www.thaiticketmajor.com/
