Australian Ambassador to Thailand, Mr James Wise, and President of Central Food Retail, Mr Alistair Taylor, have launched ‘Taste of Australia 2014’. This annual promotion brings an array of top quality Australian products to Thai consumers at Central Food Hall branches and 29 Tops markets nationwide from now until 11 March 2014.

At the launch, Mrs Teresa Wise, wife of Australia’s Ambassador to Thailand, joined Chef Supapit Opatvisan and Chef Jatuporn Ornprom in adding the finishing touches to Thailand’s biggest traditional Aussie beef pie. The two Thai chefs were members of the Thailand Culinary Academy team that won the 5th Meat and Livestock Australia Global Black Box Culinary Challenge in 2012.

This year, ‘Taste of Australia’ focuses on the fun of cooking. Professional Thai and Australian chefs will interact with weekend shoppers while they cook a variety of Australia’s favourite beef, lamb and seafood dishes as well as lamingtons and desserts. Don’t miss the cooking demonstrations at 2pm – 3pm on 22 and 23 February and from 2pm – 3pm and 5 – 6 pm on 1, 2, 8 and 9 March, all at Central Food Hall, Chidlom.
