Australia to support Thailand’s efforts to boost its STEM Education

The Australian Embassy, Bangkok is pleased to support STEM Education development in Thailand at this year’s National Science and Technology Fair with skills and capacity-building workshops by Dr Stuart Kohlhagen, General Manager and Director of Science and Learning from Questacon, Australia’s largest science centre, during 21-23 November.

Dr Kohlhagen has worked with Questacon for 34 years and has led the design and development of interactive exhibits on a wide range of topics as well as the delivery of many international workshops on science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) activities.

Dr Kohlhagen’s workshops at National Science and Technology Fair 2015 are organised under a series of “STEM Education: Informal Learning Experience” workshop. The details are as follows:

‘Design – The art and science of innovation’ workshop
Participants will have the opportunity to learn more about design and creative thinking including problem solving from a series of hands on activities.

Time: 0900-1600
Venue: Jupiter Room 12, Challenger Building, IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center

‘Design thinking for travelling and temporary exhibition’ workshop
The workshop will give participants ideas on how to develop effective travelling or temporary
Exhibitions.

Time: 0900-1200
Venue: Jupiter Room 12, Challenger Building, IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center
