NEW CONSULATE-GENERAL IN PHUKET

Today I announce the opening of the Australian Consulate-General in Phuket with jurisdiction throughout the provinces of Phuket, Krabi and Phang-Nga.

As part of the largest expansion of Australia’s diplomatic network in 40 years, the new Consulate-General will serve an important role in providing consular and passport services to Australians in Phuket and the neighbouring provinces of Krabi and Phang-Nga.

Around 900,000 Australians visit Thailand each year, with approximately a third of our visitors travelling to Phuket.

The Consulate-General in Phuket will open on 14 June 2016.
