Consular - Lawyers in Thailand

Legal Advice/Lawyers

Australian citizens in Thailand are subject to Thai law.

Australian citizens should be aware that the penalties for drug trafficking and abuse in Thailand are extremely severe and include the death penalty.

While the Embassy can provide consular advice and assistance to you if you have been arrested or are a victim of crime in Thailand, the Embassy cannot provide you with legal advice or representation. The Embassy provides a list of lawyers to assist Australians who may wish to contact a lawyer in Thailand.

It is not possible for the Embassy to make representations regarding private legal matters, or assist with visa applications or work permits for Thailand.

Please contact the Consular Services Section by e-mail if you would like to receive the Embassy’s List of Lawyers.
