Business opportunity with the Australian Government’s aid program – ‘Investing in Women Initiative’

Companies and individuals interested in tendering for Australia’s ‘Investing in Women Initiative’ are invited to attend an industry briefing at the Australian Embassy Bangkok on Monday 2 November 2015 at 9.00 am. The Investing in Women Initiative aims to improve women’s economic participation and empowerment in South East Asia. The Initiative will work with businesses to improve their approach to employing women, work with impact investors to increase investment in women SMEs, support other Australian government programs to improve their gender impact, and to advocate regionally for the economic empowerment of women. It is innovative in approach and implementation and actively seeks new and flexible ways of working, new partnerships with the private sector and impact investors, and new approaches to promoting gender equality in development.

The briefing will cover the following topics:
• An overview of the priorities of the Australian Aid Program;
• Australia's priorities on gender equality, innovation and private sector development;
• An overview of the Investing in Women Initiative;
• An overview ‎of country priorities in participating countries Indonesia, Vietnam and the Philippines; and
• Tendering requirements

The successful tenderer for the Investing in Women Initiative will provide technical and operational personnel, resources and management services to undertake all relevant planning, coordination, liaison, and consultation, and administration services, management systems and equipment necessary for effective implementation of the Initiative.
