Australia – Thailand Institute invites Australian and Thai artists to apply for the Artist-in-Residency program 2014/15
4 September 2014
The Australia-Thailand Institute (ATI) is pleased to invite applications from Australian and Thai artists for the ATI Artist-in-Residency Program 2014/15.
Applications are open from 1 September – 30 September.
This annual program provides Thai and Australian artists with an opportunity to undertake a residency in each other's countries, with the aim of creating enduring ties between artists and organisations in Thailand and Australia.
A maximum of $10,000 AUD is available annually to fund at least one full-time Artist-in-Residency for a period of 4-12 weeks. The ATI may fund more than one artist-in-residency per year where funding allows.
Applicants must be over the age of 18, with a proven art practice of at least three years in visual arts, performing arts or literature and available to undertake a residency between October 2014 and June 2015.
Applicants can choose from two possible options: a self-initiated residency at a host organisation of the applicant’s choice or a Thai based residency at ComPeung in Chiang Mai Province.
