Press Release 2015 - Summer course

Exclusive Summer Courses in Australia in 2016

15 December 2015

Spend your school break learning English in Australia!

For the first time, the Australian Trade Commission at the Australian Embassy, Bangkok is offering Thai students aged 10 to 18 the opportunity to participate in a 3-4 weeks summer course in Australia during the Thai school break in March/April 2016.

‘Summer Courses in Australia 2016’ is a partnership between the Australian Trade Commission (Austrade) at Australian Embassy, the Thai International Education Consultations Association (TIECA), Qantas Airways and Bangkok Bank.

Choose between English language courses and integrated classes with Australian students and join in excursions.  Experience not just Australian education but also Australian lifestyle through homestays.

All programs are especially designed for Thai students to enhance their English language proficiency. Thai staff will accompany students for the duration of the program.

The quality of Australian education is among the world’s finest. Teachers are highly qualified and have experience working with students whose first language is not English. Seven Australian education institutions in six cities are participating in this project:

  • South Australian Government schools - Adelaide
  • Canterbury College- Brisbane
  • Shafston International College - Brisbane
  • Australian International College of Language- Gold Coast
  • Brighton Secondary College - Melbourne
  • Phoenix Academy - Perth
  • English Language Company - Sydney
