AAC Grants Round 2018-19 Now Open
21 February 2018
The Australia-ASEAN Council (AAC) Grants Round for 2018-19 is now open. Australia is looking to support innovative projects aimed at fostering understanding and people to people links between Australia and Southeast Asia.
Australia’s Foreign Minister Julie Bishop launched the AAC on 8 September 2015. The program is designed to link partners in Southeast Asia with Australian business, education, science and innovation and artistic sectors.
The Council’s mission is to increase knowledge and promote Australia’s interests in Southeast Asia by initiating and supporting activities designed to enhance awareness, understanding and links between people and institutions in Australia and the ten ASEAN countries.
Every year, AAC will provide grant opportunities to support innovative collaboration and exchanges between Australia and ASEAN countries. The funding priorities will focus on women in leadership, collaboration and innovation across three key sectors: trade and economic development, technology and entrepreneurship, and culture and education.
The applications for grants are open from 5 February until 4 April 2018 (5pm, AEST). For more information on eligibility and how to apply, please visit this website: https://goo.gl/XzjF9F
