ENDEAVOUR AWARDS 2013 OPEN FOR APPLICATION
Scholarships opportunities for students, researchers and professionals
The Endeavour Awards, the Australian Government’s internationally competitive, merit-based, full scholarship program, is open for Thai citizens to apply from 1 April to 30 June 2012 for study commencement in 2013.
The Endeavour Awards provide opportunities for citizens of the Asia-Pacific, Middle East, Europe and the Americas to undertake study, research and professional development in any field of study in Australia. The Awards are also available for Australians to do the same in selected countries.
There are four main types of Endeavour awards;
• Endeavour Postgraduate Awards provide financial support for international students for up to 4 years to undertake a postgraduate qualification at a Masters or PhD level either by coursework or research in Australia.
• Endeavour Research Awards provide financial support for postgraduate students and postdoctoral fellows from participating countries to undertake short-term research (4-6 months) in Australia.
• Endeavour Vocational Education and Training (VET) Awards provide financial support for up to 2.5 years for international students from participating countries to undertake vocational education at a Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree in Australia.
• Endeavour Executive Awards provide professional development opportunities (1-4 months) for high achievers in business, industry, education or government from participating countries. The Awards focus on building skills and knowledge through a host work environment rather than through formal enrolment in a study program at a host institution.
Since its inception in 2007, 111 Thai scholars have been granted Endeavour Awards. The Endeavour Awards are a part of the Australia Awards initiative which brings together the international development scholarships administered by the Australia Agency for International Development (AusAID) and the Endeavour Awards administered by the Department of Industry, Innovation, Science, Research and Tertiary Education (DIISRTRE) under a single recognisable brand. The Australia Awards aim to promote knowledge, education links and enduring ties between Australia and our neighbours.
