The year of 2022 marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Australia and Thailand. To commemorate the relationship between our countries, the Australian Embassy in Bangkok in collaboration with the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Thai Embassy in Canberra is organising a logo design competition. The winning design will be used as an official logo in the commemorative events throughout 2022.

The terms and conditions for the competition are stated as follow:

ELIGIBILITY

  • The competition is open to all Thai and Australian nationals who are resident in Thailand or Australia.
  • The Australian Embassy in Thailand and the Royal Thai Embassy in Canberra officials including their immediate family members are not eligible.

SUBMISSION

  • Participation is on an individual basis. Each participant can submit only one entry.
  • Entries should be submitted in both colour and its black and white version. The designs must be submitted as PNG and/or PDF files in high resolution (300 dpi) and file size of no more than 4 MB. For quality reproduction purposes, the winning entry must later be submitted in scalable vector graphic format (EPS or AI).
  • The designs must be accompanied by detailed description of the logo, including the design concept, symbolic meaning of graphics and colours used.
  • Entries must be submitted to [email protected] by 17:00 on 30 November 2021 (Bangkok time). Late submissions will not be considered.
     

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • The participants must affirm their submissions are their own original work, have not been copied from others or from previous designs, including their own, and do not violate the intellectual property rights of any other person or entity.
  • All participants hereby authorise, consent, and grant the Australian and Thai Governments the absolute and unrestricted right to all intellectual property rights, including the right to use, reproduce, modify, publish of the winning design in part or in its entirety in whatever manner it deems appropriate.
  • Participation in this competition entails acceptance of all its rules and waives the possibility of protesting results.
  • If the winner is determined to have violated any rules, they will be required to forfeit or return the prize, even if the determination is made after the prize has been awarded.
  • Judging decisions are final and may not be appealed. In the event that no entry is selected, the organiser reserves the right to declare no winner and run the competition again at a later date.

AWARD

  • The winners will be informed directly by the Australian Embassy by telephone or email and invited to an award presentation ceremony. The winning logo and the winner’s name will be posted on the Australian Embassy Bangkok’s Facebook page.
  • The winner will receive two economy class round trip tickets: Bangkok – Sydney from Thai Airways (in case the winner resides in Thailand) or Sydney - Bangkok (in case the winner resides in Australia) with 3-night accommodation in Bangkok or Sydney by Minor Hotels.

    The winner is responsible for tax and surcharge of the ticket, and process his/her own necessary visa.
