Internship Program - Hellfire Pass Interpretive Centre

INTERNSHIP

Location - Hellfire Pass Interpretive Centre (HFPIC), Kanchanaburi

 

The Australian Embassy Thailand will offer internships to university students and recent graduates who have a connection to Australia and are interested in being part of our dynamic team here in Thailand working to strengthen the Thailand-Australia bilateral relationship.

 

We are seeking applicants with a diverse range of skills and interests in areas including, but not limited to event management, finance, communications, graphic design, law, economics, international relations, development, gender equality, climate and environment, science, IT, security and tourism.

 

Internships offer the challenge of working alongside Embassy staff across various roles and services such as corporate, political, economic and development, consular, visa and passport services, Defence, Australian Federal Police, property, and public diplomacy and communications.

 

Interns will undertake a project during their internship that may include conducting research, writing reports, undertaking translation, providing administrative support, improving systems, implementing new requirements, event support and coordination, legal and economic analysis, and communication projects just to name a few.  Interns may also have the opportunity to attend training, political and economic events (e.g. hearings, presentations, seminars etc) as well as cultural events in Bangkok.

 

Internship terms

Location:

Hellfire Pass Interpretive Centre (HFPIC), Kanchanaburi

Internship Period:

4-16 weeks, subject to the location and the work area

Internship Hours:

Full-time (37.5 hours) or part-time, subject to the location and the work area

 

Selection Criteria

To be eligible for an internship, applicants must meet all the following criteria:

  1. be a recent graduate or a student completing post graduate study or an undergraduate who has completed at least two semesters of study
  2. have advanced Thai and English language skills (successful applicants may be required to attend an interview)
