Qantas Futsalroos share their skills with young Thai futsal players
The Qantas Futsalroos, Australia’s national futsal team, arrived in Thailand on Sunday 21 October for the FIFA Futsal World Cup 2012. The matches will take place in Bangkok from November 1-18.
Head coach Steven Knight and the players are excited about the tournament.
“We have a relatively young team in comparison to other nation’s but this will be an experience of a lifetime for them and will definitely help them take their game to a new level,” Head coach Knight said.
Despite their busy training schedule, the Qantas Futsalroos are keen to share their skills with two emerging Thai youth futsal teams from Patumkongka School and Surasakmontree School. The clinic will be an enjoyable day of futsal skills and competition for young players.
The clinic will be held on Friday 26th October, from 2 to 3.30 pm on at Patumkongka School on Sukhumvit Road, Pra Kanong District. Members of the public are welcome to participate as observers. Please contact 02 344 6464 to confirm your attendance.
The Qantas Futsalroos has been drawn in Group D of the FIFA Futsal World Cup Thailand 2012 and will play their opening match against Italy on Friday 2 November (kick-off 5:00 pm local time), followed by Mexico Monday 5 November (kick-off 5:00pm local time), and Argentina in their final group match on Thursday 8 November (kick-off 5:00pm local time).
