The Australian Embassy, Bangkok, is proud to present screenings of ‘Life Architecturally’ at the upcoming 2014 Bangkok Design Festival, 8 – 31 May.
Commissioned by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, ‘Life Architecturally’ looks at the changing face of architecture, innovation and design in Australia through the eyes of an internationally acclaimed husband and wife team, architect Robert McBride and interior designer Debbie Ryan, from Melbourne.
This hour-long film follows a day-in-the-life of the couple, showing what drives and inspires them in their uncompromising passion for good design. Their outstanding architecture has achieved the highest accolade, winning the 2009 World Architecture Festival Award for best residential house in the world for The Klein Bottle House.
“Life Architecturally showcases the innovation, professionalism, dedication and passion that leads to being a successful architect. We hope that the Australian architectural masterpieces documented in the film will inspire Thai audiences”, Australian Ambassador to Thailand James Wise said.
Screenings of ‘Life Architecturally’ will be part of Bangkok Design Festival’s Movies on Design program. The film will be screened at Bangkok Art and Culture Centre on the following days:
Tuesday, 20 May at 6.00 pm
