Australian Embassy celebrates Women's Month
through gender equality panel discussion
To celebrate Women’s Month 2021, on 30 March 2021 the Australian Embassy in Thailand – together with the UNFPA Asia-Pacific Regional Office and CARE Australia – co-hosted a hybrid panel discussion under the theme “Linking women’s economic empowerment, eliminating gender-based violence and enabling sexual and reproductive health and rights for all”.
H.E. Ms Julie-Ann Guivarra, Australia’s Ambassador for Gender Equality, joined other distinguished panelists in discussing the pressing issues facing women in the Asia Pacific region. Other panelists included Mr Peter Walton, Chief Executive Officer of CARE Australia, Dr Chanettee Tinnam from Chulalongkorn University, Dr Tabinda Sarosh of Pathfinder International, and Borina Morn from CARE Cambodia .
