Australian Embassy’s 2025 Rabbit Card Design Competition: celebrate Australia-Thailand friendship through creative design
22 October 2025
The Australian Embassy in Thailand invites the public to submit original designs for the 2025 Rabbit Card Design Competition, celebrating the enduring friendship between Australia and Thailand.
“The competition highlights creative collaboration and the people-to-people links that underpin our partnership,” said Australian Ambassador to Thailand Dr Angela Macdonald PSM.
“As we approach the 74th anniversary of the diplomatic relations in 2026, we look forward to seeing designs that capture the warmth, diversity, and dynamism between our two nations.”
The winning design will be featured on the third edition of the Embassy’s Rabbit Card – a symbol of everyday connections and shared journeys.
Entries are open to Thai and/or Australian nationals residing in Thailand and will close at 17:00hrs on 20 November 2025 (Bangkok time). The winner will be awarded a round-trip flight to Australia with 2-night accommodation fully paid for. Results will be announced on 4 December 2025 via the Embassy’s Facebook page and website.
Rabbit Card is Bangkok’s e-payment card commonly used across BTS Skytrain stations and participating merchants. The use of the Skytrain promotes sustainability by encouraging public transport over private vehicle use, helping to ease traffic congestion and reduce carbon emissions in the city.
The Embassy gratefully acknowledges the support of Thai Airways and Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok for their generous contributions to the competition awards.
