Australia’s green innovation and expertise on show at
Sustainability Expo 2025

The Australian Embassy Thailand will showcase Australia’s credentials in green energy, renewables and plastics innovation at the largest sustainability event in the ASEAN region, Sustainability Expo 2025 (SX2025) from 26 September – 5 October 2025. SX2025 will be at Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre.
Austrade CEO Dr Paul Grimes PSM and Linfox International Group Executive Chairman Peter Fox AM will lead an Australian delegation from 14 businesses spanning agtech, green skills, energy management and other green economy sectors to join the expo. Mr Fox is also Australia’s Business Champion for Thailand.
The companies include: 4 Seasons Thailand / Charlie’s Ag and Turf, Beanstalk Agtech, Cavendish Renewable Technology, Dalfin AI, Earth Systems Consulting Pty Ltd, Edge Zero, Green Eco Technologies, Green Gold Energy, Hillridge Technology, Hydgene, Retragreen Pty Ltd, The University of Western Australia, TomKat Global Solutions, and the University of Southern Queensland. While in Thailand, these organisations will showcase their expertise and explore collaboration opportunities with local partners.
Australian Ambassador to Thailand Dr Angela Macdonald PSM said, “Australia and Thailand are working closely together in many areas of sustainability. We’re combining specialist knowledge with skills and innovation, in our business partnerships as well as in local projects for the Bangkok community. Sustainability Expo is an excellent opportunity for us to also learn and be inspired by Thailand’s efforts, as both our countries move towards cleaner greener options.”
At the Australia Pavilion, members of the public can find out more about a range of joint initiatives with Thailand and have the chance to win some fun prizes. Highlights include:
- Nature-based solutions transforming parks in On Nut and Makassan Wetlands to be healthier, resilient environments
- Pumped hydro energy storage, including through online atlases developed by the Australian National University which identify prospective reservoir sites
- Indo-Pacific Plastics Innovation Network (IPPIN), a regional initiative that brings to life innovative plastic waste solutions by entrepreneurs and venture companies.
The embassy will also lead a special panel discussion on Monday 29 September titled From Idea to Impact: Tackling Plastic Waste in the Mekong Subregion. It will feature speakers from EcoCrew, CIRAC, Thailand Environmental Institute and Indo-Pacific Plastics Innovation Network. The discussion is open to the public and will be held in Thai at the Talk Stage on the ground floor from 4.00 – 5.00 pm.
SX2025 runs daily from 26 September – 5 October 2025 at QSNCC. The Australia Pavilion is located at the International Pavilion Zone on G FL.
