Australian Embassy BTS Rabbit Card Design Exhibition at Siam Discovery
23 April 2026
The Australian Embassy in Thailand, in partnership with Siam Piwat, has today opened our BTS Rabbit Card Design Exhibition at Siam Discovery to highlight local creativity and the warm, enduring friendship between Australia and Thailand.
The exhibition features 35 standout designs from the Embassy’s third BTS Rabbit Card Design Competition, including the winning design, which was made into a limited-edition card. The artworks on display were selected for their creativity and originality and offer diverse interpretations of the Australia-Thailand relationship.
Australian Ambassador to Thailand Dr Angela Macdonald said the exhibition was being held because of strong public interest in the competition.
“From hand-drawings to graphic illustrations, we received over 100 colourful entries. This exhibition is a way to share these with the broader community,” she said. “The youngest designer was just eight years old. It’s so lovely to see iconic symbols such as the koala and elephant make their way into creations that capture the deep connections between Australia and Thailand.”
Visitors are invited to take part in the “Design Discovery Challenge” activity for a chance to win one of the limited-edition Australian Embassy BTS Rabbit Cards throughout the exhibition period.
At the official exhibition opening, Ambassador Macdonald awarded the top prize to Khun Kiadtisak Paramasin, whose winning composition blended the mythical Thai guardian figure (Yak) with a kangaroo, against a backdrop of iconic transport and urban elements. Khun Kiadtisak received return flights from Bangkok to Sydney and a two-night stay at Intercontinental Sydney, generously supported by Thai Airways and Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok. First runner-up Khun Karakot Chaiyont received a two-night stay in Kimpton’s Maa-Lai Suite, and second runner-up Khun Pison Wimonsoponkitti received a special hamper with Australian and Thai goodies.
