Australian health and wellness at Vitafoods Asia 2026
2 September 2026
For the first time, a dedicated Australian complementary medicines and nutraceutical delegation will visit Vitafoods Asia 2026 in Bangkok, to explore commercial opportunities with Thailand and Southeast Asia’s fast-growing health and wellness markets.
The Australian Vitafoods Business Delegation to Thailand brings together 40 representatives from 24 companies, supported by the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) in collaboration with Complementary Medicines Australia (CMA).
Australian Ambassador to Thailand Pablo Kang hosted a business networking reception on 1 September to welcome the delegation and to connect them with local contacts and industry representatives.
“Public demand is growing for quality health and wellness products in both Australia and Thailand,” he said. “Vitafoods Asia offers a great opportunity for Australian businesses to explore partnerships, build practical links and pursue long-term growth with Thailand’s complementary medicines and nutraceuticals sector.”
While in Thailand, the delegation joined local market briefings and visited retail sites to build market knowledge. The Australia Pavilion at Vitafoods Asia will showcase a range of Australian strengths, from vitamins and dietary supplements to product formulation, innovation and research.
Complementary Medicines Australia CEO John O’Doherty said, “CMA is proud to work with Austrade to bring Australian complementary medicines and nutraceutical companies to the Australia Pavilion at Vitafoods Asia 2026, helping them connect with regional buyers and partners. The delegation showcases Australia’s diversity, innovation and expertise: from science-based products and premium ingredients to trusted manufacturing capabilities that meet the evolving needs of health-conscious consumers across Southeast Asia.”
Vitafoods Asia runs from 2-4 September 2026 at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. Registrations are essential, entry is free.
Details on participating companies are available from the Australian Vitafoods Business Delegation 2026 directory.
